Re: Washington State: Big O Poker Run July 20th, 2013

Yeah, that was great fun. This year I sat in one spot and kept Daniel and Tim company. We had a good lunch (I had a Buffalo burger and a milk shake) and a nice ride.

Re: 2014 Honda CTX 700N

Whatever it takes to stay on 2 wheels. I might have to take it for a test ride. It looks a lot lighter than my 1800 R. I would like to drop about 300lbs. My bike weighs 960lbs. I just might be interested? I sent a message to them. Going to see what they look and feel like. Let them see my bike (I wa...

Re: Hmmmmm, This is one fine bike.

The ones I road will never be the same. lol I was curb jumping in Canada and driving in the sand on Long beach (as close to the water as I could get). Yep, even at 35mph top speed, you can have fun if you are creative. lol

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

Just a little more trim to put on and the wheels need to be serviced. Then the caulk.

Re: Hmmmmm, This is one fine bike.

Hell, I even put about 35 miles on a little scooter twice (Like a Moped) but, then took it back to the rental place. Once in Canada and once on Long Beach WA. They are fun and get you some wind when needed. I never shy away from 2 wheels.

Re: Introductions thread - who are you?

Very interesting hines. Not sure I would black out all my chrome but, I have thought about going with either a black chrome or powder coating a few of my chrome pieces. I have even considered doing my rims as well but, I will just wait for now. Not sure my exact approach at this time. Do what ever y...

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

Lol you guys made me smile. lol Extra toppings at no extra cost. lol Yep, butchered my finger. You will see it Saturday. Welcome to Bears site Daniel. Nice to have you. For some reason (was side tracked and distracted form family issues) I just stuck my finger right down on the damn saw blade. It to...

Re: Hmmmmm, This is one fine bike.

Hell, I would be happy with an old 80's CMT 400. They can do 80 on the freeway (2 up) and get great mileage. I bought one for my ex and sold it when she forgot to put her feet down (then would not ride again).

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

Oh we have this nasty black stuff that gives people sinus infections and can actually cause some sort of flesh eating disease. When it comes to mold, I don't even mess around. That is bad stuff! I am just feeling the need to get it done now. I put 2 new batteries ($128 each) in the trailer right aft...

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

Actually, I have been able to cut out any and all dry rot. Then I am washing the other stuff with bleach just before I assemble it. When I am washing it, the mold disappears. When it drys, there is no sign. Even brushing it away works but, I still use bleach to make sure it is gone. Then rinse. Also...

Re: Washington State: Big O Poker Run July 20th, 2013

Oh it really is a great ride. I can actually take some video if you like? I have a GoPro3. It would cover every bit of the ride but, I do not know how to edit it so you would have to watch the whole thing and fast forward as desired. I thought it was this weekend but, it is next weekend so. I just g...

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

I did not know about that stuff. Thank you, I will look into it. I have actually been using the seal given to me by Jay. It is for trailers and motor homes but, I am learning there is more than 1 option for most products and some do it much better than others. Here is some of today's work: http://i1...

Re: Trailer teardown, rework and discussions

Another thing you have to remember, I have to run into town and it takes a minimum of an hour an a half. 30 min each way and about 15-20 min in the store. If I have to do like I did today and go a long way out of my way, it can take 4 or 5 hours just to get a few small things. Also, there is no 1 st...
